Ulafa’a is a reconciliation art project that aims to create opportunities for people to express themselves and to strengthen relationships of respect and understanding among the different communities of Bahrain. The project is based on the belief that people can express themselves through a variety of artistic forms, and that these expressions can facilitate communication and the sharing of stories.
After one year of meeting, brainstorming, and participating in public events, Ulafa'a curated three independent group exhibitions, through which they hosted few artists and offered the opportunity for the community to participate as well. Since it started, Ulafa’a curated around 7 independent group exhibitions both locally and internationally and participated as a group in various artistic events in the GCC.
Today, Ulafa'a aims to create an open platform where artists, people and groups can assemble and dissemble per project.
